This year's Summit theme, "Level Up Your Professional Experience", will focus on the skills necessary to excel as a high performer in your chosen profession.  We will explore your character strengths, the power of communicating effectively and gaining workforce clarity through questioning. 
 
In light of the current COVID-19 crisis, we have had to make some changes to our venue and Summit delivery.
  • All in-person attendees will be required to wear masks and answer the COVID-19 questions before entering the room.
  • There will be social distancing which will limit how many seats we have available for in-person tickets.
  • For the first time, we have opened up our Virtual Room and LiveStreaming the Summit through YouTube.
  • Everyone will have access to the Summit and information through our new Eventee app.

Mediocrity is often a state of mind and is exacerbated by culture which creates social norms without considering the impact of individualism. It is an improbable task to achieve your highest state of effectiveness without unveiling the subconscious drivers of behavior and thought. We will explore those dynamics and reveal introductory opportunities to creating the maximum self-related to team building and self-satisfaction.

Daphne Latimore

Daphne B. Latimore is the founder and Managing Partner of D.B. Latimore Professional Services Group, LLC a boutique firm specializing in Human Resource Management, Professional Coaching Services and Workforce Seminars.

Daphne has over 25 years of strategic and operational experience in both the private and public sectors. As a career HR Strategist, Executive and Leadership Coach, skilled Facilitator and Trainer, and HR consultant, Daphne specializes in establishing sustainable workforce productivity programs through the development of leaders at all levels.

Daphne's programs include individual performance coaching, group coaching, team facilitation and work shadowing. Daphne’s business acumen has been credited for successfully transforming and aligning workforce productivity with corporate business imperatives. Daphne is certified to administer and train on personal assessment tools to include the Myers Briggs Type Inventory, LEA 360 and the DiSC profile assessment.

John Watkis

 

John Watkis is a professional speaker, speaking performance coach, author, and award-winning performer who turns everyday speeches into engaging experiences that leave audiences asking for an encore.

He is the author of Speaking Notes: The Eight Essential Elements to Make Your Speech Music to Their Ears, and is the first Canadian-born actor to play Mufasa in the Disney musical, The Lion King.

In addition to more than two decades of experience delivering keynote speeches and workshops for clients in six countries and on three continents, he has written speeches for corporations, government officials, non-profits, professional speakers, and hall-of-fame athletes.

A partial list of his clients includes: BMW Canada, Canadian Association of Professional Speakers, Human Resources Professional Association, RBC, Bank of Montreal, TD Bank, Moneris Solutions, Canadian Federal Government, and Hills Pet Nutrition.

Dr. Dennis Humphrey

 

 

 

Dr. Humphrey is the Senior Vice President, Organizational Development and Learning for the RMR Technology Group and owner/founder of PointShift LC, a behavioral management firm. 

Dr. Humphrey also currently serves as an Adjunct Professor of Psychology at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and at Northern Virginia Community College as an Assistant Professor in the Liberal Arts Division. 

After 22 years of military service and over 20 years of industry positions, he provides consultant services to public, private, and governmental agencies in the areas of leadership development, personality assessment (Birkman Method®), training, and talent management. 

As a motivational speaker, he has spoken at executive leadership offsites, conferences, and organizational meetings nationally and internationally.  His previous roles include executive and senior management roles in leadership development, training, talent management, operations, technology, cyber security,  and systems manufacturing. 

Education includes undergraduate degrees in Computer Science and Business Management, a MS in Organizational Development & Behavior, and a PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.  Prior certifications include Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP), Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Facilitation, and Green Belt Lean Six Sigma (GBLSS).

Dr. Humphrey has designed several seminars specifically targeted at management/leadership development using the foundational principles of Psychology.  His second book release, WE ARE NOT EQUAL, focuses on the developmental conditioning factors that influence personality, decision-making, and relationship building. 

 

Dwight Vick

Dwight Vick is a proud graduate of Virginia Tech. While at Virginia Tech, Dwight played for the legendary Coach Frank Beamer as an offensive lineman from 1994-1999. 

He help lead the Virginia Tech Hokies to five consecutive bowl game appearances and two consecutive Big East conference championships. As a senior in 1998, Dwight was selected All Big East and served as team captain. Dwight was also a three-year letterman and received numerous athletic team and individual awards. In May 1999, he earned a B.S. in Sociology and a B.S. in Family and Child Development. Upon graduation, he attended the Baltimore Ravens mini-camp as a free agent before returning to Virginia Tech as a Strength and Conditioning Coach for the football team.

Over the last 27 years, Dwight has conducted motivational presentations and workshops focused on empowering youth and their families to become successful in all their endeavors. Dwight is committed to assisting with the educational, spiritual, mental, and physical development of all young people. In an effort to help youth achieve their dreams of becoming successful, he created Victory Life in 2018 and works as the Director of Student Development. In this role, he provides therapeutic mentoring to at risk youth focuses on goal setting, career development, time management, and life skills.
